BASIC FUNCTION:

Responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ESD’s cloud-based Solutions and Infrastructure platform. Provide leadership, strategic guidance and operational oversight to the cloud development team and strategic partners. Duties will include monitoring, enhancing, architecting, and implementing ESD’s cloud-based solutions and infrastructure initiatives.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Design, build, deploy and manage highly secure, scalable and available cloud-based applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Lead the Cloud Application Development team to design, build, deploy, optimize and debug cloud-based applications, including MS Dynamics and SQL based databases. 
• Supervise, mentor and train Junior Application Developers.
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud applications technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business goals.
• Work with Security Engineers to integrate cloud-based security solutions into ESD’s existing cloud applications.
• Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with cloud related application policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
• Author functional specifications for new and enhanced cloud solutions and infrastructure requirements.
• Review new cloud initiatives and ensure compliance with defined IT operational and business requirements.
• Liaise with 3^rd Party vendors in support of ESD’s cloud infrastructure and solutions implementation.
• Assist with IT Disaster Recovery efforts, testing and documentation. 
• Perform other related duties and / or projects as directed by IT Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level required: BA in an IT related discipline with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field; Or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; Or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. At least 3 years of experience in the field of cloud computing. Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure components to include, networking, security, applications, data Troubleshooting and analytical skills. Experience with MS Dynamics. Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
