Our client a successful Equipment and Servicing company based in New Orleans, LA is hiring for a Financial Controller to join their growing business.

The company has seen significant growth over the last 5 years and has been ionvbolved in several M&A transactions. This role will report directly in to the CFO and manage the Finance team of 9 individuals.

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.

Strategic Planning:

• Provide leadership in the development of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Develop and manage financial strategies and initiatives to achieve company goals.

Compliance and Auditing:

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of 9 accounting professionals.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• CPA with experience in public accounting
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• NetSuite ERP experience is highly desired
• Experience in the equipment or related industries is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
