Job Description
Employbridge is NOW hiring an International Distribution Specialist to become an integral part of our team! You will help coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for staying current with DOT, IMDG, and IATA regulations on domestic and international hazardous shipping procedures.
Serve as distribution center expert in UN/DOT regulations, assess impact regarding products, and take action to ensure shipping compliance with these regulations.
Maintain proper shipping documentation on international shipments for required length of time.
Create and authorize standard international shipping and receiving work instructions.
Responsible for liaisons with freight forwarders and trafficking to establish total customer satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of computerized warehouse systems and UN/DOT shipping regulation for domestic and international shipping.
Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in domestic and international shipping. Strong knowledge in dangerous goods handling and international shipping documentation.
Must be able to work in both a standard office environment and in a distribution warehouse
