Job Summary:

The Senior Account Executive is primarily responsible for retaining and expanding an established book of business, focusing on delivering exceptional value to clients through comprehensive insurance knowledge. This role aims to support long-term client relationships while achieving or exceeding annual sales and retention goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients and underwriters.
• Analyze insurance needs and market to insurers to secure optimal coverage and cost terms for all property and casualty clients.
• Negotiate quotes and coverages with underwriters to obtain the most competitive terms.
• Input and maintain all customer-related insurance data in the corporate agency management system (Applied Epic).
• Respond to exposure questions from underwriters and coverage questions from clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise 1-2 Account Executives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Maintain awareness and technical knowledge of insurance coverages, industry changes, emerging risks, coverage solutions, competition, carriers, and other relevant business areas to provide sound client and prospect advice, while limiting the agency’s E&O exposure.
• Actively participate in associations and networking groups relevant to clients within the book of business.
• Demonstrate familiarity with various lines of coverage, with expertise in at least two of the following: General Liability, Property, Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella/Excess, Crime, Cyber, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Pollution, and Errors & Omissions.
• Prepare proposals, coverage comparisons, schedules of insurance, underwriting schedules, and insurance applications.

Education/Experience/Licenses:

• College degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Property & Casualty Producer's License.
• 10 or more years of experience required.
• Experience with Applied Epic preferred.
