Emporium is seeking an eager candidate to join its growing Accounting department. The Senior Accountant will join a dynamic team tasked with building accounting close processes while integrating the accounting processes with other members and departments. A successful candidate will thrive in a small team where their contributions will make an immediate impact, and interface directly with business users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling daily accounting tasks, such as preparing financial statements, maintaining records, and processing payments. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a good understanding of accounting principles. Additionally, they should be organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivables and other month-end journal entries
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Assist with audit preparation.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Experience with Quickbooks and other accounting or expense management software
