We are seeking an Assistant Controller to fill a new position within a growing and nationwide company. Reporting to and supporting Corporate Controller, this Assistant Controller will have the following job duties:

• Take the helm as the primary finance liaison, engaging directly with sales, operations, and corporate units.
• Spearhead month-end closing operations, encompassing journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, cash flow statements, and other financial documentation.
• Propel enhancements in cash flow conversion by shaping sales turnover, inventory management, and payment cycles, while overseeing internal controls in procurement and sales processes.
• Institute streamlined operational protocols, prioritizing simplicity and efficiency, in collaboration with accounting and local operations.
• Foster collaboration with business and corporate financial planning teams to refine forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Assess customer and project profitability to inform pricing strategies and operational optimizations.
• Champion margin enhancements, providing actionable insights to streamline operations across scrap, quality costs, labor, and inventory.
• Oversee inventory management during month and year-end processes, including valuations and reserves.
• Collaborate with operations for capital project evaluations and post-project reviews.
• Guide external audit and tax preparation activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and prompt response to inquiries.
• Direct efforts related to lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, offering guidance and support for their professional growth.
• Assume a pivotal role in purchase price accounting for acquired entities in accordance with ASC 805, Business Combinations.
• Provide administrative support to both local and corporate teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of BS degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred but not required
• Experience in public accounting, manufacturing, and/or private equity backed environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced skills in MS Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot, and preference for experience with Power BI and SQL
• Experience working within an ERP system, implementation experience desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
