The Instructional Designer is responsible for researching, designing, and producing instructional content for instructor-led and eLearning materials supporting leadership, onboarding, and other people-related skillsets.
What you will do
Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal customers to gather relevant content and develop blended learning solutions inclusive of instructor-led sessions, virtual classroom experiences, as well as self-paced e-learning
Utilize adult learning theory and knowledge of current learners to create learning solutions which encourage an interactive, engaging experience and are thought provoking
Apply principles of current cognition and adult learning theories, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, and new media technologies
Successfully communicate and work with other team members, trainers, subject matter experts and others to develop and implement the training solution
Design and deploy methodologies to assess training effectiveness
Evaluate outcomes and continuously improve course material to maximize return on investment
Evaluate outcomes and continuously improve course material
Own small and medium-sized training development projects from beginning to end
Applies principles of current cognition and adult learning theories, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, and new media technologies
Authors content directly into eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Captivate, and Camtasia
Ensure consistency of instructional design standards and processes
Learn and adapt to emerging tools and methodologies
What you will bring
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related subject or commensurate business experience
Minimum 3 years of Instructional Design Experience in both Instructor-led and eLearning formats, or related commensurate business experience
Excellent written communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skill.
Excellent computer skills, including Word and PowerPoint
Understanding of how people learn and how to apply that in a virtual, self-paced, or live training environment
Understanding of project management and ability to work to deadlines
Strong technical aptitude
Understanding of training delivery and general presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment and independently and build relationships with SMEs and stakeholders
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
What will set you apart
Beginner experience in one or more eLearning development tools (Captivate, Articulate)
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign)
Experience in basic video editing
Financial Services background

Base Salary Range
$63,100.00 - $89,125.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
