EMR Metal Recycling is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Orleans, LA

Job descriptionI. SummaryEMR USA has an opening for an Equipment Operator. In this role, the Equipment Operator will operate a material handler or excavator to move metal throughout the yard. To be successful, the Equipment Operator must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks. II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate material handler and/or excavator to move material Complete all required daily equipment reportsPerform daily maintenance and inspection on equipmentAdhere to operating and health and safety protocolsPerforms other duties as assigned. III. Required Skills / Abilities Ability to work independently as well as within a team environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequentlyAbility to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heatAbility to handle stressful situations, manages time, and multitasksAbility to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening IV. Education & ExperienceHigh School graduate or G.E.D. Previous experience using a material handler and/or excavator a plusV. Other Job DemandsWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the Equipment Operator will be working in an outdoor environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces. # Onsite LI
