EMSL Analytical, Inc is Hiring a Laboratory assistant Near South Portland, ME
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis for Asbestos and Microbiology testing and any areas of prep related to client work
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment
Good lab practice
Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system
Assist with billing
Accept shipping and handling items received by the laboratory from clients
Assist with high volume customer service client questions via in person, phone, and e-mail
Requirements :
High School degree / equivalent
Associates Degree in Life Science / two years of college course work completed
One to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and with a team
Good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office especially EXCEL and typing
Excellent customer service skills customer service experience is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
