Dental Assistant (DA)

The Dental Assistant / DA is responsible for providing dental care to patients in a public health setting. This position will work 3 12-hour shifts per week and will work under the supervision of a dentist and is responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Preparing patients for dental procedures
• Taking and developing dental X-rays
• Cleaning and polishing teeth
• Applying fluoride treatments
• Instructing patients on oral hygiene
• Maintaining dental records

Dental Assistant / DA Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active California RDA License (or) X-ray Certification
• At least two years of dental assistant / DA experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
