Description

The Commercial Project Manager holds a key role in ensuring the successful execution of HVAC installation and replacement projects. This individual is responsible for establishing and meeting budget targets while maintaining the highest safety standards. Moreover, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in customer experience, serving as the trusted point of contact for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Safety- 

  • Ensuring safety is the top priority across all functions.
  • Conduct comprehensive jobsite inspections to maintain secure working conditions.
  • Proactively address unsafe jobsite conditions, coordinating with customers for timely correction.

Sales-

  • Meet and exceed monthly/yearly sales and budget targets.
  • Execute sales calls with potential and existing customers, build and manage business relationships.
  • Generate precise estimates and proposals for customer review and approval.
  • Secure competitive subcontractors and equipment/material pricing.
  • Manage and update sales opportunities using Salesforce (or current CRM software).
  • Accurate monthly billing and management of project costs to stay within budget.
  • Ensure efficient accounts receivable collections with 90% of total AR maintained at 0 – 61 days.

Communication-

  • Create comprehensive project documentation including job setup sheets, submittals, design documents, and shop drawings.
  • Provide detailed contract review to ensure accurate communication between engineering and production teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project closeout and turnover documentation to aid seamless transition to administration, production, and service teams.
  • Review and update work in progress (WIP) reports, budget adjustments, and communicate updates to administration and production teams.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular project site visits to monitor installation progress and quality.
  • Attend weekly commercial department meetings and other meetings as needed/required.
  • Continual self-education to stay informed about the latest products and technology in the HVAC industry.
  • Deliver prompt and professional customer responses.
  • Stewardship over staffing to maintain project timelines and quality of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • High level of organization and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Prior sales experience.
