Technical Sales Manager

Encore Electronics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom electro-mechanical assemblies, is currently seeking a Technical Sales Manager for our Saratoga Springs, NY office.

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will use your technical knowledge and sales experience to provide a full range of support to new and existing clients.

Working with the Engineering and Production departments, you will develop sales proposals and quotations.

The Technical Sales Manager will be the key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and after-sales support, as well as identifying new business and product development opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Manager you will:

• Manage existing customer accounts and identify new sales opportunities.
• Search for new clients who may benefit from Encore products or services.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
• Negotiate sales and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
• Prepare quotations and bids.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Provide after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
• Forecast and meet regular sales targets.
• Support marketing activities including development of presentations, brochure and on-line content.
• Perform technical sales presentations
• Assist in the development of design specifications for custom-made products.

Required Skills

The Technical Sales Manager will have:

• A solid technical background and proven record of sales of highly technical products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of sales processes for both domestic and international customers
• Ability to build customer relationships quickly and effectively
• Ability to work across cross functional teams to develop customer proposals
• Experience in development of marketing materials
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in a technical field with sales experience in electro-mechanical assemblies and products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
