We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our team that has over five years of experience. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks requiring in-depth evaluation and sound judgement. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as relating to communicating with patients and various insurance agents.

As our Medical Billing Specialist your daily duties will include working with denied claims, data in-put and balancing daily receipts. To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of billing software along with an understanding of medical insurance policies and data entry skills.

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

· Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.

· Manual posting of insurance payments.

· Verifying active insurance daily, using the on-line tools provided by the insurance companies.

· Investigating and appealing denied claim for payment.

· Working closely with patients in regard to their insurance questions and account balances.

· Collection and reviewing insurance referrals and prior authorizations.

· Weekly patient statements to monitor for corrections and follow ups with patients that have overdue balances.

· Working knowledge of Worker’s Comp policies and required documentation.

· Knowledge of CPT and IC-10 codes as it relates to billing.
