Enercon Services, Inc. is Hiring a Designer/Drafter Near Overland Park, KS
Our Enercon Federal Services team is seeking a Drafter/Designer to join the team based in our Kennewick, WA, Aiken, SC, Fort Worth, TX, Overland Park, KS, Naperville, IL, or Kennesaw, GA office location.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate layout and detail drawings of parts, assemblies, and related items on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity
- Support engineers with any changes to drawings
- Prepare design drawings, including piping isometrics, single line drawings, P&ID’s and pipe support drawings
- Understand and follow all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives
- Conduct self-checks of created drawings, sketches, and related data to proactively identify factors that may negatively affect final product
- May review the work of other designers/drafters and provide mentoring and leadership
- Meet applied time goals set for position/discipline
- Work independently of engineers but confer with engineers and other designers for design concept interpretation
- Associate's Degree with minimum 6 years of experience, HS 10 , or Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum 2 years of design experience
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs
- Ability to utilize applications to prepare engineering drawings
- Knowledge in the practices of an engineering discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of design
- Ability to travel for short trips to get badged (on an as needed basis)
- Advanced knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Preferred 3D experience in one or more of the following software: Plant3D, SmartPlant, Solidworks, Inventor, and/or Revit (not required)
- Must be a US Citizen
65,000-95,000
Pay Range USD $68,000.00 - USD $96,000.00 /Yr.
