Energy and Security Group is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

Project Manager w/ Experience in the Energy Sector

The Energy and Security Group (ESG) is looking to hire a Project Manager (PM) with energy sector experience to support Department of Defense (DoD) Military Aviation and Installation Assurance Siting Clearinghouse efforts to assess the impacts of expanding renewable energy infrastructure on the DoD missions. To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter. The position is contingent upon contract award. Work under this contract will be performed primarily in the Washington, D.C. area. ESG’s headquarters is located in Reston, VA.

Job Description

The PM is responsible for managing ESG’s project execution in support of the Director and Executive Director of the Military Aviation and Installation Assurance Clearinghouse. The PM shall:

• Oversee all project activities and personnel supporting the Clearinghouse.

• Track program work execution and financial performance and develop project budgets.

• Provide quality assurance and risk management.

• Address emergent issues and collaborate with the COR to fulfill all contract requirements.

• Provide strategic advice and technical and analytical support for all project activities.

• Provide subject matter expertise to support assessment of energy projects for impact on DoD mission.

• Prepare executive-level correspondence, including project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, technical, or science field from an accredited university.

• 5 years Project Management experience.

• 4 years energy infrastructure development or other energy related experience.

• Experience working in a management/supervisory capacity.

• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

• Demonstrated skills in cost estimation and developing work breakdown structures.

• Demonstrated skills and experience of compiling reports, metrics data, and other administrative functions.

• Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide array of government personnel and organizations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).

• Active DoD security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certified.

• Prior military experience.
