Energy Jobline IN is Hiring an Air Permitting Specialist Near Houston, TX
Candidates must have previous oil and gas air permitting experience. The selected candidate must be able to do air permitting on day 1. No time to train / candidates must be able to hit the ground running. Looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal scenario would be to find someone in Houston who can come into the Houston office and work a "standard" schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote) The successful candidate will be responsible for providing environmental permitting support to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The candidate will work closely with management, operations, and other HES professionals to support the air permitting program and environmental assessments of operational locations. This position will report to the Environmental Supervisor and will be responsible for environmental air permitting support in the development of the Permian, Oklahoma, and Eagle Ford Assets. The successful candidate will be located in the Houston, TX office with the ability to travel 15-25% of the time to field locations. Primary Responsibilities
Generate and submit all air permit applications utilizing consultants.
Ensure adherence to data collection, permit requests, and QAQC procedures by the team as well as company
standards
Make applicability determinations related to NSPS JJJJ, NSPS OOOO/OOOOa/OOOOb, NESHAPs ZZZZ, etc
Clarify and submit information due to agency inquiries for permit authorizations.
Communicate equipment, flash factors, or emissions changes to the Emission Accounting team on a monthly
basis
Maintain constant communications with the Production Operations, Facilities Engineering, and Maintenance to
ensure permits are accurate and air permit conditions are achievable.
Prepare handoff documents detailing the compliance requirements and monitoring requirements to the
Compliance Team. This includes production limits, engine testing limits, etc.
Gather, maintain and analyze datasets that can be used for environmental reports.
Other Responsibilities
Responsible for project management, including the development of requests for bid proposals, and supervision
of contractors.
Optimize the permit application process.
Availability to travel to stakeholder meetings and act as company representative.
Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards, and is punctual to work and meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering and/or technical discipline.
3 years of relevant upstream oil & gas experience
Excellent oral and written communications, teamwork, planning & organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and various Environmental databases
Project management skills with minimal oversight required.
