Our client can provide mentoring and training for candidates wishing to undertake Chartered Status MAPM MRICS or MCIOB. They have some very interesting projects for you to work on in the region, from Leisure to Mixed-Use, Commercial ,Education Healthcare and Local Government Frameworks projects. Please Note: This vacancy is for United Kingdom or those with a current right to live and work in the UK.
Our client cannot provide visas for non-UK . Please Note: This is NOT an I.T Project Manager role. Candidates must have experience in the construction of buildings REQUIREMENTS * Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Management professional with previous construction project management experience, above all with a construction or engineering consultancy. Please note, this role requires a minimum of 2 years experience with a construction consultancy organisation. * Experience assisting for the Project Management of large Construction projects such as Healthcare, Mixed-Use, commercial and/or Residential projects would be ideal. * You will also have some experience working alongside a Senior PM advising clients from the inception of projects to completion as well as overseeing the work of the main contractor. * In addition, you will have a Construction related Degree Qualification or be currently working towards one.
Preference for an RICS-accredited Degree Qualification in project or construction management or civil engineering. * Membership of a professional body such as MCIOB ( Member of the Chartered Institution of Building) MAPM ( Member of the Association of Project Management) or MRICS ( Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is highly desirable, but not essential for this position. Our client can train mentor and assist with Chartered Status should you wish to attain it. They will also pay any fees associated with this. * Strong communication skills as well as client-facing/client liaison skills are essential * You must have the ability to work as part of a team and to Assist in regards to construction projects in the region, gaining experience to move to a PM role * Experience in the use of Project Management software such as Asta Power Project or MS Project etc. * Experience in mentoring less senior members of the Project Management team would also be highly desirable. * Please note: this role is for a permanent member of the project management team Salary and Benefits This is a full-time permanent job vacancy, we are not seeking freelance project managers for this position. * The successful Assistant Construction Project Manager Birmingham, should expect a basic salary of £(phone number removed) per annum In addition to a great basic salary, they also offer a number of great benefits, such as * Laptop, Mobile Phone * In addition 27 days of holiday * One paid professional subscription * Continuing training and development * Pension and Life cover * Sports and Social events
