Job DescriptionCompany: Our client is a well-established and reputable Main Contractor specialising in fit outs and refurbishments. Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercially managing multiple projects, providing assistance to operational teams, and contributing to the continued success of the company. Responsibilities: * Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliations. * Maximise valuations, ensure timely certification and payment. * Manage contract variations promptly. * Forecast costs and value of all trades. * Coordinate with the operational team to secure labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion. * Monitor on-site progress and issue required notices according to contract procedures and timescales. * Vet and ensure compliance of quotations with specifications, obtaining the most competitive bids. * Prepare Final Accounts. * Accurately manage subcontractor accounts to enhance contract efficiency. Requirements: * Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying. * 4-5 years of experience in a similar role is essential. * Organisational skills required for managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience with key cost-based software packages. * Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. * Willingness to travel when required
