Job DescriptionAbout the role of Design Manager: Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a main contractor in their search for a Design manager. The role is for a Design manager, who can comfortably commute into Oxford to assist the construction of a research facility. You will be required on site 5 days per week.
This will start as a temporary project and may continue to a permanent contract. Responsibilities for Design Manager: You will, produce and manage a realistic, design programme and information required schedule to facilitate design, procurement and construction activities. Support the continuous, initiatives and innovation. Ensure the design has been reviewed and verified to achieve compliance and mitigate Health and Safety, design and buildability issues prior to construction and identify key risks and opportunities at each stage of the design and delivery process. Requirements for Design Manager: Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM. Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment Experience across, academic laboratories, government laboratories, and private sector laboratories. Fawkes and Reece are working with one the UK's leading family-owned development, building and property maintenance company. Founded over 125 years ago.
