As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, Core Engineering team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The Core Engineering team is responsible for leading, designing, and developing software solutions for the rest of the CCB engineers. We own the design and development of the new ultra-scalable fully automated testing toolchain tightly integrated with developer IDE, source control system, CI/CD pipelines, and other tools developers use every day. We operate as a technology startup within one of the largest banks in the world delivering tools used by 14,000 developers globally across 300,000 code bases written in many . Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develop secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drive decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience. In addition, 2 years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced experience developing API driven systems for public/private cloud
Polyglot programming skills with Java and other like Golang and Python. Expert level skills with distributed databases, NoSQL, and performance tuning.
Experience with Kubernetes (cluster, scheduling, ingress, stateful-sets among other things), Docker and cloud technologies and paradigms like Service Mesh, side-car proxy, Distributed Tracing and Metrics
Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Practical cloud experience
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
