We are currently seeking a full-time Engineering Fellow to join our Codes and Standards Department and to provide leadership across our company as a mechanical equipment specialist. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on state, national and international energy markets through our work for major utilities, local and state governments, and other national leaders in energy efficiency policy. The candidate selected to fill this position will bring a track record of industry leadership in promoting energy efficiency and decarbonization for an array of residential and nonresidential mechanical equipment types. Expertise should include at least several of the following technology types: heat pump technologies (including air-source heat pumps, hydronic heat pumps, and variable refrigerant flow systems), energy and heat recovery systems, dedicated outdoor air systems, refrigeration systems, motor driven systems (including high performance fans and pumps and air distribution system design), low global warming potential refrigerants, thermal energy storage, and load management / demand flexibility. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of equipment efficiency and system design interactions to achieve enhanced energy performance and real-world / field experience designing, installing, and/or managing these systems. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and leadership skills and demonstrated experience working with and leading teams of engineers and other industry stakeholders on efficiency efforts related to these products and systems. The candidate will also have a track record of successful codes and standards advocacy, strategy development and stakeholder engagement, including experience with state and federal codes and standards proceedings, test procedure development, and/or model codes and reach/stretch codes. Experience working on AHRI, ASHRAE, IEEE, NEMA, ASME, IISE certifications, standards, committees or working groups is a plus, as is experience with U.S. Department of Energy’s Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC).
