Full-time Description Summary The Manager, Tax Equity and Project Finance will be responsible for the execution of tax equity and project finance activities in the firm. The person will work in a highly visible, cross-functional environment with various internal and external stakeholders to analyze, evaluate, diligence and execute a variety of transactions including project and portfolio level financing activities through tax equity, construction debt, bridge loans and back leverage debt. The person shall also facilitate development of financing related communications inside the firm, including investment committee memos and senior management presentations, and will also be closely involved in loan and tax equity compliance and post-raise portfolio tracking. The person shall also provide input on the project contractual structuring. The firm has a broad focus across energy transition spectrum and the role will provide opportunities to get exposure in utility scale, distributed generation, offshore projects as well as transmission related opportunities. This position is ideally suited for individuals who have a keen interest in working within a dynamic, deal-oriented setting, where proactive communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various teams are paramount. Key Job Responsibilities
Engage in the end-to-end project finance and tax equity initiatives, including structuring, due diligence, financial modeling, and closing activities.
Assist in post-closing loan and tax equity compliance and monitoring activities.
Spearhead the development of RFP and outreach materials for various external banks and tax equity investors for the firm's upcoming financing activities.
Interact with external banks and tax equity investors, coordinate financing advisors, prepare deal calendars, organize internal teams, and conduct diligence meetings.
Prepare investment committee memos and presentations to facilitate discussions with senior management, investment committee and board members.
Additional duties relevant to a role of this nature.
Requirements Required Education
MBA or master's in finance or a comparable field
Required Experience
5 years in project finance and tax equity experience in a deal environment.
Combination of the above experience with M&A and Investment Analysis will also be considered favorably.
Experience in renewable energy industry is highly preferred.
Other Skills
Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling.
Strong competency in Microsoft products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels are critical to success at EnergyRe.
Must be able to work well in groups but also independently to manage and own tasks.
