Part-time opportunity (20-35 hours per week) with the potential for full-time. We are a locally owned and operated medical billing company with approximately 60 employees. Our clients are physicians and physician groups, mostly pathologists and anesthesiologists. We bill patients and the patients' insurance for services received from our clients. The Data Entry Specialist typically works in our AR follow-up department - entering medical and health insurance denial information into our billing system related to unpaid insurance claims. Other job responsibilities could include calling insurance companies or going to their website to find out if a claim has been received or why it has not been paid, filing appeals, fixing and resubmitting denied claims, working error reports, entering patient demographic and charge data, etc. The Data Entry Specialist spends the majority of his or her time working in our billing system. No previous experience is required. We look for candidates who are intelligent, fast learners, and have a strong work ethic and desire to grow and be challenged. Computer skills are a plus.
