Engage Talent is representing a private manufacturing company who is hiring a Senior Human Resources Generalist for their Arkadelphia, Arkansas location.

This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with a diverse range of interests to be exposed to the full scope of HR functions (e.g. Employee Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics, and Talent Management) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Its an ideal role for somebody who wants to roll up their sleeves & help make a big impact while continuing to elevate their valuable HR experience. The Senior HR Partner is responsible for oversight and implementation of human resource functions for all employee groups (salaried, salaried non-exempt, and hourly). Serves as a business partner to management on all employee relations issues; acts as an employee champion and change agent. Responsible for providing HR support for the Arkadelphia and Gum Springs facilities.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and implement people solutions to address enterprise and functional strategies
  • Act as a change agent to further enhance organizational growth and development
  • Identify opportunities to modernize and standardize current HR processes within the facility and drive new strategic HRBP model
  • Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives. Participate in corporate HR project teams and programs
  • Partner with Employee Relations COE on appropriate ER issues, and inform members of plant leadership as necessary.
  • Oversight of HR compliance.
  • Generate ideas for and champion employee engagement and employee relations activities to foster positive employee morale and interaction
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all client groups and HR visibility to hourly teams
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees, supervisors, and managers
  • Partner with the recruitment team to facilitate/coordinate hourly and salaried interviews, conduct on-boarding, and new hire orientation.
  • Partner with the plant management team to facilitate employee engagement focus groups and develop meaningful action plans for improvement.
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and/or employee terminations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relative field along with 5 years of demonstrated HR/employee relations experience
  • Masters degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Labor Relations, or other relevant field of study
  • Possess demonstrated problem-solving abilities along with strong time management & prioritization skills
  • Progressive HR experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment, distribution, production or big box/wholesale retail environment
  • Experience using Workday
  • Experience managing conflict, project management, and ability to maintain confidentiality

Additional Skills

  • Tech savvy: Demonstrated experience learning new systems, and/or have used an HRIS (Workday preferred). Intermediate skills in working with all programs in the Google Suite.
  • Flexibility: You roll with the punches. You prefer a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are agile and comfortable enough to keep up as plans change and evolve.
  • Ability to multitask: Youve demonstrated the ability to balance and manage multiple priorities with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner due to your strong organization skills.
  • Collaboration: Youre the consummate team player, able to build strong relationships and effectively partner with other team members to achieve results. You understand how your work (& the way you communicate it) is important to other people.
  • Communication: You can speak and write in a clear, concise and professional manner.
