We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Lead to join our team. As a Logistics Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all shipping-related activities within our organization. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, overseeing logistics, and maintaining accurate shipping records to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Coordinate shipments and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other transportation providers to arrange shipping schedules and negotiate rates.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize warehouse operations.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status, delays, or issues that may arise.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure adequate stock availability for outgoing shipments.
- Resolve shipping-related problems and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, including shipment details, costs, and delivery dates.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding shipping and transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is a plus
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations
- Proficient in using CMMS software for tracking inventory and managing logistics data
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and suppliers
