3rd shift Maintenance Technician

Hours: Full time, hourly position; openings on third shift.

Location: Grand Haven, MI

Overview:

Engine Power Components manufactures the heart of the internal combustion engine—camshafts—for a worldwide customer base. We are seeking 3rd shift maintenance technicians to support our fleet of several hundred machines. Maintenance technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment to keep it in a satisfactory operating condition. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform total preventative maintenance tasks on CNC mills, lathes, and other equipment as assigned.
• Diagnose and repair CNC mills, lathes, and other electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment to minimize machine down time.
• Ability to operate and read common measuring equipment.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to inspect, access, and remove defective parts.
• Inspect, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, plumbing, and similar systems.
• Maintain accurate records regarding completed tasks.
• Participate in appropriate root cause and corrective action analysis and assist in ensuring timely completion.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Comply with all EPC policy, procedure and practice.

 Desired Experience:

• Five to ten years’ experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Machine repair
• PLC (programmable logic controller) experience preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
