Requirements
- Construction Drawing Proficiency: Understand and implement construction drawings accurately.
- Overhead Work Skills: Comfortably work from ladders, man lifts, scaffold, etc.
- Ductwork Expertise: Detail and install ductwork from field fabrication and drawings, including layout, sealing, and modifications.
- Refrigerant Handling: Hold an EPA refrigerant card and proficiently handle refrigerant evacuation, charging, and equipment start-up.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools relevant to the HVAC trade.
- Measurement Accuracy: Use tape measures accurately for precise installations.
- Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Brazing and Termination Skills: Able to braze copper refrigerant piping and terminate power and thermostat wire at equipment.
- Documentation and Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate work documentation and ensure quality workmanship.
- Safety and Workspace Maintenance: Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean workspace.
- Age and License: 18 years old, with a valid driver’s license and clean record.
- Experience: Prefer 4 years in residential HVAC installation, and as an HVAC sheet metal mechanic.
- Certification: OSHA 10 preferred, but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional image and demeanor.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel overnight.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
