Engineered Plastic Components is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Columbia, MO

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including employee orientation, talent management, employee evaluation, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties:

  • The primary responsibility is to hire and maintain qualified employees to support the operations of the company
  • Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction
  • Have at least 2 years experience in a personnel or HR setting
  • Maintain all employee files and all employee paperwork
  • Conduct employee orientation and schedule required training
  • Maintain employee attendance files
  • Monitor employee probationary periods
  • Coordinate employee benefits with employees and insurance companies
  • Document and maintain job descriptions
  • Maintain Employee handbook
  • Current on state and federal laws that govern employees
  • Complete biweekly employee payroll – ensure vacation, personal, and overtime hours are recorded accurately.
  • Act as the Safety manager, ensuring plant and employee safety
  • Complete all workers comp, FMLA, STD paperwork.
  • Conduct investigations into accidents and advise on how to prevent reoccurrence
  • Implement company policies, such as computer, e-mail and Internet usage and employee conduct and work rules
  • Maintain and file all OSHA compliant paperwork
  • Attend all unemployment hearings on behalf of the company
  • Advise supervisors and managers on proper employee discipline and relations
  • Receive corporate management approval before communication and/or implementation of new company policies.
  • Maintain good working relationship with management and employees acting as a liaison for both
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and current employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in using HR software systems such as Paycom.
- Proven experience with Payroll/Benefits processing
