Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in control systems design, automation, and programming. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize control strategies for our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Controls System Design:
· Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design and develop control systems for various products and industrial processes.
· Design control architectures, including selection and integration of sensors, actuators, PLCs, and other hardware components.
· Develop and implement control algorithms to achieve desired system performance, accuracy, and reliability.
Programming and Implementation:
· Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other control devices to execute desired control strategies.
· Develop and implement software for automated control, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring.
· Troubleshoot and debug control software to ensure smooth system operation.
Integration and Testing:
· Integrate control systems with mechanical components, electrical systems, and software applications.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
· 5 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or a related field.
· Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and HMI/SCADA systems.
· Strong understanding of control system theories, algorithms, and principles.
· Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
· Familiarity with hardware components such as sensors, actuators, motor drives, and industrial robots.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues and implement effective solutions.
