We are looking for exceptional Registered Nurses to join our team at Franklin County Jail in Columbus, OH for both short and long-term contracts.

• 12 hour shifts working 36 hours per week
• 12 week contracts with the option to extend

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting
• Assess physical, psychological and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission
• During confinement, and upon discharge; document and communicate triage decision to appropriate health care provider
• Develop individual nursing care plan using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers
• According to physician orders implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary

Qualifications

• Current state license as a RN
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

• Rotating weekends

Experience:

• RN: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• RN License in OH (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
