Job Description
ENSCO is seeking an experienced Chef at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC), which is a remote research and test facility, to manage the day-to-day operation of the caf.
Responsibilities include:
All food production operations at the facility.
Menu planning, ordering, vendor monitoring, serving, inventory, and budgeting.
Promoting and maintaining a comfortable, customer-focused atmosphere for the caf, and exceptional customer service to all caf visitors.
Implementing and maintaining control procedures within the caf, including daily food production charts and standardized recipes.
Creating, executing, and serving weekly menus to ensure the highest quality and variety of food while staying within the caf budget.
Maintaining a quality sanitation program in all caf areas.
Monitoring to ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products to comply with Health Department regulations.
Monitoring all equipment in the caf to ensure cleanliness and proper working conditions.
Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Export Control and Licensing
This position may involve access to technology or technical data that is controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations and the release of which to a foreign national may require an export license from the U.S. Government.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

• Bachelors or equivalent; Minimum of three (3) years or more of experience as a cook, sous chef or chef running a kitchen in a cafeteria or full service restaurant.
• Must have ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Strong knowledge of menu planning, cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
• Must be able to taste and smell to determine quality of food.
• Must have working knowledge of Health Department regulations including proper receiving of consumable inventory, understanding of safe food practices, temperature monitoring, proper handling, preparation and storage of food, and understanding cross-contamination.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license to allow driving throughout the site.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations
• Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.
