We are looking to hire a Material Coordinator for our manufacturing production located in Hauppauge, NY. We are an equal opportunity employer in a stable industry. Responsibilities For Our Material Coordinator Include
- Assist Purchasing Mgr. (Buyer/Planner) in ensuring materials are present with each Job order released to production.
- Utilize ERP/MRP to analyze material availability and expected material receipt date.
- Assist Production Supervisor in communicating material requirements.
- Assist Production Supervisor in organizing materials in order to meet production goals.
- Interface with Engineering as required to troubleshoot bill of material inaccuracies.
- Provide support to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality through participation in process control activities as required.
- Ensure that the correct inventory transactions are taking place in MRP/ERP – Purchase Order, Inventory and Short List Updates.
- Perform Cycle counts to ensure inventory counts ion stock and Floor inventory are correct at all time.
Qualifications Required (Skills)Bachelor's degree or equivalent education & experience in supply chain management or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience in material coordination or similar roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in inventory management and data entry.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and inventory management software.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining focus on objectives.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems.
