The inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating subscription sales of Quartet, a web-based patent search platform for patent professionals. The software is licensed on a per-seat, annual basis to patent lawyers, patent examiners, patent analysts, patent searchers, technology transfer managers, patent managers, patent agents, startups, and university researchers in the United States and Canada.

The Sales Role:

This is an ideal role someone looking to build a career in sales; we're seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual who is ready to learn Quartet and sell it! You will report directly to the CEO and play an integral role in the sales process. The successful sales representative enjoys prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals from initial contact through customer support.

• Prospecting (lead generation)
• Qualifying
• Scheduling software demonstrations
• Monitoring trial usage
• Negotiating deals
• Closing deals

This role includes the execution of daily tasks and to support the adoption of Quartet and growth of the subscriber base. In addition to the primary responsibility of generating sales, the sales representative handles these daily or periodic tasks:

• Engage with all Quartet users
  • Gather feedback
  • Communicate product roadmap
  • Solicit leads for additional users
  • Foster continual user engagement with Quartet
  • Convert trial users to paid subscribers
• Participate in conferences as needed
• Administer trial and paid access to Quartet
• Maintain accurate customer/prospect data in HubSpot

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree from an accredited university
• Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, professionally in written and orally in English
• Self-motivated with a strong interest in delivering sales

Location: Washington DC metropolitan area (largely remote, with periodic visits to the office)
