About the role: EnTech is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Inspector. In this role, the individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of various industrial and construction sites with local, state, and federal regulations. Specifically, the EHS Inspector will conduct thorough inspections, identify potential hazards, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordination and communication with construction project stakeholders
Review and preparation of Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP)
Provide safety/life safety hazards inspections and instructions to contractors on site
Review of contractor's Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Perform detailed safety audits and safety monitoring of construction sites
Prepare Safety Work Plans (SWPs) for upcoming work in conformance with agency guidelines
Conduct accident and incident investigations
Review the project job hazard analysis and daily pre-task plan, conducting project and vendor audits
Provide support and oversight, including routine audits and training to the client
Conduct meetings, briefings, and discussions regarding safety-related issues
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or similar field
8 years of related work experience in managing site safety on construction projects
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
OSHA 30-Hour and 40-Hour Certification
OSHA Confined Space Entry Certification
Working knowledge of local, city, and state safety, health laws, regulations, and OSHA standards
DEP Experience (Preferred)
Copies of all certifications/training, etc. will be required for evaluation
