Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge/Highway Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in roadway, heavy highway, and bridge projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining these infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and durability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Design:

• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Conduct site analyses, surveys, and geotechnical investigations.
• Create detailed designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.

Construction Management:

• Oversee construction activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Supervise construction teams and subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards.
• Select appropriate materials based on project needs and environmental considerations.

Maintenance and Inspection:

• Conduct regular inspections of highways and bridges to assess conditions and identify repairs.
• Develop maintenance schedules and manage repair projects to extend infrastructure lifespan.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assess and mitigate environmental impacts of construction projects.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Engage with the public and address construction-related concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in roadway, heavy highway, and bridge design and construction.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, hydrology, drainage, and pavement design.
• Excellent project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to innovation and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
