Summary: Seeking a Buyer specialized in Machined Parts procurement with a strong background in supplier management and negotiation for aerospace/defense industries.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, logistics, supply chain, business, or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and material planning.
• Experience developing new suppliers and managing supplier improvement plans.
• Proven negotiation and business relationship management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong financial acumen, technical manufacturing knowledge, and data analysis abilities.
• Proficient with ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing planning and procuring machined components, valves, assemblies, and electronics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and purchase engineered materials and complex precision machined parts to meet specifications and targets.
• Analyze requirements, obtain quotes, negotiate terms/pricing/orders while ensuring delivery goals are met.
• Identify/select/approve new supplier sources; develop supply base strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor supplier performance; ensure contractual obligations are met towards achieving company objectives.
• Lead negotiations; conduct visits to provide assistance in problem identification/resolution with suppliers as needed.
• Coordinate supply chain support for new programs; communicate issues impacting business plan with contingency strategies.
• Implement value analysis/engineering projects driving productivity initiatives within the company.
