Entegee is Hiring a Test Technician Near West Henrietta, NY

Summary: Seeking a qualified candidate, preferably a member of Boston Local Worker Union, with experience in electrical tools, computer and network systems, and working in field environments for a project involving testing and maintenance of signaling systems in multiple MBTA sites.

Requirements:

  • Member of Boston Local Worker Union, preferably Local 103- Electrical Workers.
  • Experience with electrical tools such as Track Sniffer, Scope meter, Shunting, and multimeter.
  • Knowledge of computer and network systems, including Windows, WireShark, SSH, and telnet.
  • Previous work experience in field environments, train control rooms or bungalows, and wayside tracks.
  • Proficiency in executing tests on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, and microprocessors (VPI, Microlok, and/or Electrologix).
  • Familiarity with signaling systems, including signaling principles, troubleshooting, software installation, and log retrieval.

    Responsibilities:

  • Execute work on-site at multiple MBTA sites in Boston, MA, primarily focused on the Red and Orange Lines.
  • Utilize electrical tools like Track Sniffer, Scope meter, Shunting, and multimeter for testing and maintenance tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of computer and network systems (Windows, WireShark, SSH, telnet) in troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Work in field environments, train control rooms or bungalows, and wayside tracks to perform necessary tasks.
  • Conduct tests on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, and microprocessors (VPI, Microlok, and/or Electrologix) to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate understanding of signaling systems, including signaling principles, troubleshooting procedures, software installation, and log retrieval.
