Enterprise Solutions is Hiring a Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine Near Los Angeles, CA
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
- 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
- Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions **** Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100 patients a day **** Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years working as a MA in (specific specialty)
- Experience with CS-Link/Epic
- Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred)
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Job Duties:
- Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
- Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
- Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
- Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
- Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
- Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
