Job DescriptionEssential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Follow permit requirements to collect and test compounds and samples, using applied methods and techniques, and policies of this company
- Enter quantities, volumes and analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview)
- Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit.
- Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs
- Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.
- Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- 40-hour OSHA training with 8-hour refresher courses
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office or related software to draft laboratory reports and enter test results
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures and the ability to learn new processes
