Digital & Visual Communications SpecialistThe Environmental Charter School is looking for a highly dedicated and motivated individual for our school. Successful candidates must be progressive minded and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration, candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Integrated Marketing Communications, Digital Media Production, or Graphic Design from an accredited university, a strong work ethic, and a “whatever it takes” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required and include, Arrest & Conviction Disclosure, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34), and FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114). Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandatory Reporter Training also will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor ECS social media platforms.
- Develop content for social media, the website, and communications when applicable
- Use design software to create visually appealing digital content including but not limited to flyers, brochures, fact sheets, digital graphics and videos.
- Research communication methods in schools around multi-level integrated communication strategies.
- Report and analyze monthly social media and email metrics.
- Assist in the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events
- Update and maintain the ECS Public and Faculty Calendars.
- Take photos and videos during school events.
- Proficient animation and presentation skills.
- Strong graphic design skills and prior experience using Adobe Creative Suite programs (i.e Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, etc.)
- Understanding of web based content management and software -prior experience with Squarespace is a plus but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present analysis findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced experience in social media management and digital organizing and with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Display Network/DSP's
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills, work in both independent and collaborative settings, think creatively and take initiative, particularly on increasing organizational needs like enrollment marketing, online content creation, and visual storytelling
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of branding and messaging.
- Has a passion for ECS’s mission and sustainability goals.
- Need driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle for transportation across school/activity locations
- Prior knowledge of charter school legislation is a plus.
- Minimum starting salary: $39,493 with consideration given for prior years' relevant experience
