Environmental Equipment Sales & Service LLC. is Hiring a Parts Sales Representative Near Rochester, NY

Environmental Equipment Sales & Service is a heavy equipment dealership servicing Upstate New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, & Maine.

Your role as an outside sales representative will be to drive sales of parts inventory, create unit sales and service sales opportunities with new and existing customers both in house and road calls. This position reports to the Sales and Service department managers; You are expected manage a sales funnel and achieve the set goals and metrics set by the organization along with providing consistent feedback to management. As a growing business, your input is vital to understand how we can better serve our customer base and is integral to the continued success of the dealership.

You will be responsible to organize your workflow and turn qualified leads into sales opportunities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Organize book of business to maintain efficient and timely transactions

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and sell refuse, equipment, materials, supplies, and services utilizing knowledge of refuse and heavy-duty equipment and their applications.
  • Ability to bring on new customers as well as manage our current customers.
  • Visit establishments to evaluate needs, and promotes sale of products and services.
  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
  • Prepare sales slips or sales contracts; receive or direct payment.
  • Attends sales and trade meetings and reads related publications to obtain current market condition information, business trends, and industry developments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with customers at all levels.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand complex products and systems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, proactively identifying challenges and providing timely solutions to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for customers who may require remote assistance or additional guidance.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments, including parts, service, and sales, to streamline communication and resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, product developments, and best practices to better serve customers and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services to existing customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive outcomes and maintaining customer loyalty.
  • Assist in the development of customer success strategies and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must have a valid driver's license & transportation.

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Required: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus vocational training or job-related course work.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in Refuse Industry/Environment
  • Preferred: Customer Service, 2 years
  • Preferred: Automotive or other mechanical knowledge

Skills:

  • Preferred: Customer Success, Account management, or customer-facing role
  • Automotive or other mechanical knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Friendly and upbeat personality
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Conflict-resolution skills
