General Description:

The Operations Manager serves as a key team member assisting in the management of the EnviroSafe Demil (ESD) demilitarization operations at the Hooks, TX facility. This position has a crucial role of ensuring that tasks, standards, and procedures are appropriately followed on a daily basis to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Scheduling employees for shift coverage, dealing with personnel conflicts, and enforcing productivity goals will be a constant focus. Working closely with the inventory management system and performing daily routine accountability checks will be required. Must be willing and able to keep employees on task to accountable performance metrics and production goals. Works closely with executives and the Facility Manager to coordinate and schedule maintenance periods. Must have a strong inclination for continuous improvement and a proactive mindset towards solving issues and problems before they cause lost productivity. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and the ability to problem solve quickly.

Responsibilities:

· Carry-out activities associated with ESD demilitarization operations and overall company operations as directed by management and company leadership.

· Collaborate and communicate with ESD departments and personnel.

· Participate in the safe movement and handling of ammunition items and various materials.

· Implement directions, guidance, instructions, policies, and procedures associated with ESD demilitarization operations and overall company operations.

· Supervise, direct, counsel, train, and oversee the performance of assigned personnel.

· Collaborate with all ESD departments, customers, or government personnel to ensure proper execution of demilitarization activities and schedules.

· Manage multiple shifts of employees in a dynamic work environment.

· Maintain accountability of workload, ensuring that the active inventory management system is updated and accurate at all times.

· Assist in maintaining munitions Quality Assurance and Quality Control measures.

· Responsible for assisting with the industrial safety and occupational health program; and ensuring compliance with OSHA, and related laws and regulations.

· Guide and lead employees in safe Arms, Ammunition, & Explosives (AA&E) handling operations as the operations manager.

· Understand the functions and operations of all equipment being used in order to clearly communicate with maintenance personnel.

· Work closely with Senior Management to provide updates on demilitarization operations, programs, the ESD Hooks facility, and other related efforts.

· Support continuous process improvement and innovation.

· Other roles and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the company

Desired Qualifications:

· Have experience leading medium to large organizations with a diverse range of employees and skill sets.

· Have demonstrated logistical and inventory management skills.

· Experience in the defense industry related to Arms, Ammunition, & Explosives (AA&E) and/or prior military experience preferred.

· Experience with workplace safety and explosives safety requirements and standards.

· Skilled with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

· Must be a clear and concise communicator.

· Ability to quickly understand complex mechanical systems in order to provide maintenance personnel with tasks to prevent or fix equipment failures.

· Must be willing and able to work in an open air environment in various climates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
