We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in our oil and gas facilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical infrastructure, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design electrical systems: Develop detailed electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for new installations or modifications to existing oil and gas facilities, adhering to industry standards, codes, and regulations.
2. Electrical equipment selection: Evaluate and select appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, motors, and control panels, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and operational requirements.
3. Power distribution and control systems: Design and oversee the installation of power distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, and motor control centers, as well as control systems for process automation and monitoring.
4. Hazardous area classification: Assess and classify hazardous areas within oil and gas facilities, ensuring proper selection and installation of electrical equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, API, IEC).
5. Electrical safety: Develop and implement electrical safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
6. Project management: Coordinate and manage electrical engineering projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
7. Troubleshooting and maintenance: Investigate and resolve electrical system issues, develop preventive maintenance programs, and provide technical support to field operations.
8. Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate electrical drawings, manuals, reports, and other documentation for electrical systems and projects.
9. Collaboration and teamwork: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, contractors, and operational personnel to ensure seamless integration and coordination of electrical systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on oil and gas facilities.
3. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM Power Tools).
4. In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry (e.g., NEC, API, IEC).
5. Familiarity with hazardous area classification and electrical equipment selection for explosive atmospheres.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer) is highly desirable.
