EPIC Academy is Hiring a 24-25 SY Career & Technical Education Instructor Near Chicago, IL
Curriculum Development:
- Design and update instructional materials, lesson plans, and projects that align with industry standards and educational goals.
- Deliver engaging lessons covering topics such as programming languages, software development, database management, networking, cybersecurity, and hardware fundamentals.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences through labs, workshops, and projects to help students develop technical competencies and problem-solving skills.
- Create and administer assessments to measure student understanding and proficiency in course content, providing constructive feedback to support their learning progress.
- Establish partnerships with local businesses, industry professionals, and educational institutions to enhance student learning opportunities, such as internships, job shadowing, and guest lectures.
- Provide guidance and resources to help students explore career pathways in the technology sector, including information about certifications, further education options, and job market trends.
- Incorporate educational technologies and tools into the learning environment to enhance instruction and prepare students for using technology in their future careers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CTE instructors licensure REQUIRED
- ISBE credentials MUST be up to date
- Relevant industry experience in computer science, information technology, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of current industry trends and technologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
