We are seeking an experienced and passionate Systems Software Programmer to provide professional support for our projects for the State of Florida in Tallahassee, Florida. The Systems Software Programmer will work with a team of Technical staff, Business Analysts, and Consultants to implement and support enterprise business solutions. This is currently a hybrid work position that can be converted to an onsite position in future. Candidate must be located in Tallahassee for in-person meetings.

We are looking for a self-starter to assist in complex, multidisciplinary project assignments. The candidate will work on multiple assignments simultaneously and collaborate with other professionals in a team environment. This selected professional will also be responsible for system enhancements, fixes, and maintenance activities, code documentation, and design discussions for new projects and initiatives.

Candidates must have strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and good communication skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You bring experience and expertise in these areas:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in developing .NET applications (Visual Studio 2013 or higher).
  • Experience in programming in C#, .Net, ASP.NET, Microsoft Frame Work 4, HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, MS SQL Server, MVC, WCF, WEBAPI, Entity Framework, nHibernate and latest Microsoft Technologies (.NetCore1.0, Mono etc.).
  • Experience in developing applications using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and implementing Web API’s.
  • Experience in ORM Frameworks such as nHibernate.
  • Experience programming in AngularJS, jquery, json, Bootstrap and MVC.
  • Experience programming imaging toolkits such as gdPicture (http://www.gdpicture.com).
  • Experience with version control, branching, release management and code management using TFS/Git.
  • Experience in generating reports using SSRS/Active Reports.
  • Experience in workflow and routing.
  • Able to work with and communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members at all levels in the client organization to understand requirements, data needs, functional requirements and to resolve issues.
  • Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish good working relationships with team members, agency representatives, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, follow technology standards and procedures and to produce timely deliverables in compliance with the project plan.

Nice to Haves:

a. General knowledge of financial allocations and claims.

b. Work experience in public agencies.

c. Knowledge of Food, Nutrition, and Wellness (FNW) business processes, Florida Direct Certification (FDC) Application, and Florida Automated Nutrition System (FANS) Application
