Epic Health System is Hiring a Specialty Physician - Pain Management Near Southfield, MI

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialty Physician with a focus in Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This individual will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute and chronic painThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in pain management techniques, patient evaluation, and the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.We are a Multi-Specialty Practice with multiple in-house services that treat patients from the beginning of life to the very end stages of life. Our system consists of Physicians, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Physical Therapists, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians, Care Coordinators, Medical Billers and more. We look at all aspects that play a significant role in our patients'everyday busy lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate pain conditions, demonstratingoverall medical knowledge essential to Pain Management
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in delivery of patient care, including appropriate referral management, admissions, prescriptions, and ancillary ordering.
  • Perform procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks, and other pain management techniques.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications, exercise, and nutrition advice.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal pain relief and functionality.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of pain management services.
  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with staff members from all departments.
  • Maintains accountability for continued enhancement of knowledge.
  • Maintains licensure and required number of CEU’s.
  • Attends programs appropriate to practice area.
  • Safeguard patient’s rights to privacy.
  • Valuingpatient choices regarding health care.
  • Incorporates patient’s social and cultural backgrounds into delivery of health care.
  • Participates in staff-oriented activities, (i.e. staff and site meetings, sub-committees).
  • Maintains an acceptable level of Productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an accredited University. 
  • Board certification in pain management is required and enhances your credentials and demonstrates your expertise in the field.
  • significant experience in Pain Management is highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform pain management procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
