Epiphany Farms is leading a “Farm to Table” movement in the area by practicing sustainable, beyond organic, environmentally friendly techniques and offering our products to the community via our own dining rooms, marketplace, cooking classes, farm tours, and special events at the farm.

Epiphany Farms Estate is a 70-acre working farm that focuses on regenerative agriculture techniques. Epiphany Farms harnesses ideas from a wide range of agricultural theories, including permaculture and intensive pasture rotation, to cultivating a multitude of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and animals. We are pioneering a new food system frontier by blending our farm and restaurants to create one, self-sustaining organism.

The responsibilities of a Farmhand at Epiphany Farms Hospitality Group will be assisting general day-to-day farm operations. At Epiphany Farms we emphasize finding the right person who understands the culture and mutual goals, and building the position around them so that each individual, as well as the company, can grow together.

The farmhands' expectations can be divided into 3 different areas and the ideal candidate will know how to handle at least one or more focuses. All tasks will be overlapping and the whole team will be cross-trained to be able to perform necessary tasks on the farm.

• Animal husbandry focus/ fencing/ animal structure
• Heavy machinery/ tractor & attachment operations / maintenance / building construction
• Gardening focus / greenhouse / irrigation / harvest / washing & packaging / sales

More detailed responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Planting and cultivating
• Mowing the grounds and watering plants/flowers
• Assisting in irrigation
• Harvesting & washing vegetables
• Animal husbandry
• Maintaining & building fencing and structures for livestock
• Assisting in the greenhouse
• Driving machinery
• Assisting in any special events or restaurant operations during the busy dining/event season or slower season for the farm

Requirements:

• 1 year of other regenerative farming experience is preferred
• 1 year of related experience (farming, landscaping, general laborer, etc.) required
• Must be able to operate heavy machine equipment such as tractor & zero-turn mower
• Ability to build fencing and other farm structure is preferred
• Must have stable transportation and be able to commute to the farm
• Ability to communicate in English

Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk and/or stand the entire shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently or more as needed
• Can handle working in extreme outdoor weather conditions
• Able to execute repetitive motions
• Able to reach, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
