At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Service Division (PSD) provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customer productivity. Service Center Managers ensure the continued profitable growth of our service center operations while safeguarding company assets. This role is responsible for strengthening our reputation as best in class support operations of our parts, service and consumables business. Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through a safe, efficient and quality driven culture is an expectation.
The work environment in the mining and construction industries has unique and interesting challenges one won't find in other professions. It is all encompassing, anywhere from office attire one day to working in a rough and rugged environment another day in some of the most beautiful and pristine areas of the world. The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Personal Protection Equipment may be required in this role. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement appropriate business strategies and priorities for each targeted market segment utilizing territory management skills
  • Work in close collaboration with our capital sales teams to ensure proper alignment and support of sales while.
  • Ensure customer loyalty by providing the highest quality product and superior after-the-sale support via cultivating and maintaining direct relationships with key customers.
  • Personally demonstrate clear and visible leadership within the service centers, throughout the Epiroc organization, as well as with our customers.
  • Clearly define tasks and duties within your direct report organization, and develop tools for measuring success for the people in your organization.
  • Involve the business line managers, product application experts, customer service and the Product Companies in the development and implementation of local strategies to ensure adequate technical and commercial support.
  • Manage, develop and lead direct reports and execute processes of full employee life cycle (i.e. recruiting, onboarding, performance management, responsible feedback, training and development, other HR metrics) and use strategic vision to create appropriate succession plans.
  • Constantly strive to improve operating efficiencies at the respective service center location.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' of practical related experience in the mining or construction aftermarket equipment business, parts and services field experience is highly preferred
  • Prior demonstrated experience successfully leading teams of employees is required
  • Strong mechanical/technical background is required for issue resolution & reasoning/discussing "root cause analysis" back to customers
  • Effective communication skills, including presenting information and responding to inquiries from Epiroc management and internal/external customers is required
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Advanced training in computer aided maintenance systems, reporting, databases, and spreadsheets are preferred qualifications
  • Experience in successfully leading, developing and mentoring teams through the full employee life cycle
  • Possess a valid/active driver's license
  • Travel is required in this position
  • Maintaining courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times
  • Ensure that we are meeting ethical, social and environmental performance criteria as required by our company
