Come Grow With Us!Type: Full-Time (75 hours biweekly) Shift: Varies Hours: Varies Pay: $64.96 - $85.21 per hour, depending upon license and experience Job DescriptionThe Oncology Advanced Care Provider is a highly skilled and experienced clinician responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, treat, and manage complex oncology cases, while ensuring optimal patient outcomes and quality of life. ResponsibilitiesInpatient Oncology:
Conducts comprehensive assessments of newly admitted oncology patients, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team
Supports and collaborates with Oncologist to manage complex hematology-oncology cases, including treatment-related complications and emergencies
Provides ongoing monitoring and evaluation of patient response to therapy, collaborates with provider on any modification to treatment plan if needed
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers
Participates in patient rounds and care conferences
Provides education and support to patients and their families regarding disease management and treatment options
Outpatient Oncology
Conducts comprehensive assessments of new and established oncology patients
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy within the scope of APRN practice in New York State
Manages chronic oncology conditions and treatment-related side effects within the scope of APRN practice within New York State
Provides ongoing monitoring and evaluation of patient response to therapy, adjusting treatment plans as needed within the scope of APRN practice in New York State
Collaborates with primary care providers and other specialists to ensure coordinated care
Participates in patient education and support programs
Manages patient referrals and consults
General Responsibilities
Prescribes medications and other treatments within the scope of APRN practice in New York State
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests within the scope of APRN practice in New York State
Performs procedures and required, such as venipuncture and chemotherapy administration
Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
Participates in quality improvement initiatives
Stays current with the latest advancements in oncology care
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing or other advanced practice degree
Current and unrestricted PA or NP license in New York State
2 years experience in Oncology
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient cases
