Pay and Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, flexible hybrid schedule
• $20.50 -- $24.00 hourly. Experience Compensated!!!

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance and in accordance with policies and procedures of the Episcopal Homes of Minnesota (EHM), generally accepted accounting principles, and State and Federal regulations - this position assists the Director of Finance with the billing of Medicaid and Insurance claims for two skilled nursing facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Submission of claims for Medicaid and other Insurance payers
• Interact with county case managers on completion of DHS forms
• Post payment remittances for above payers
• Follow-up on all unpaid claims weekly
• Maintain Accounts Receivable aging to established Days in Accounts Receivable goals
• Collaborate with other billers on resident Accounts Receivable balances
• Submit Hospice claims to Medicare in the next year

EXPERIENCE:

• Requires previous patient billing experience, especially Medicaid and Insurance
• Experience with MN-Its and insurance portals
• Experience with Point Click Care preferred or other patient billing system
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities or Healthcare preferred.

Demonstrated experience with computer billing systems and internet-based billing. Must be able to read, clearly speak and understand English, perform basic and intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply, divide.
